The 20th & 21st May saw the dawning of the 27th Chatsworth Angling Fair produced superbly despite inclement weather ( A 90% squelch factor at least ! ) by Christopher Lloyd Owen and his team (seen here in early morning discussion with dial-a-vet and the day`s location reporter Stuart Easby-who had just given advice on a Budgerigar who had dived into a plate of hot porridge !
It was fantastic to meet up with & receive advice from Professor of Paleontology at the University of Cambridge Barrie Rickards ( author of 26 books and over 700 articles on the country premier participation sport ) & then onto the challenge- 2 virgin Anglers & their first lessons in Trout , Salmon & Deep-Sea casting. Christopher breaks the news to Norman Fisher
Looking for the perfect D-shaped Trout cast in the River Derwent ! Stuart takes on the slightly longer Salmon cast.
Meanwhile back with the exhibitors www.needadesign.co.uk still raining cats & greyhounds ! www.sheffieldretiredgreyhounds.co.uk Alex gets carried away with a different sport ! On to Sea Casting This fine quartet includes a world champion flycaster,an England international & the Total Sea Fishing Secretary - names & details coming very soon !
