Caroline Stiles and Lucy   not only produced another fantastic racing pulses ( www.racing-pulses.co.uk )outing to Guards Polo club in Windsor but also persuaded station manager Alex Lewczuk  to get back in the saddle for the first time in decades. Alex stated that he felt honour bound to follow in the footsteps of other noted Captains Christopher Pike, James Tiberius Kirk & Jean-Luc Picard in developing his equestrianism, not to mention the re-runs of Bonanza & The Lone Ranger he had caught recently. When it was pointed out these were, by and large fictional characters, he muttered something about parallel dimensions and maintained that his main objective was to mount,trot, turn right and left, canter & gallop, stop and dismount ( much like his radio programmes then ! ) Regrettably, much like Jermain Dafoe in the last World Cup, Alex then took up photo & commentary duties with Caroline, allowing his stunt double Stuart Easby & Richard Dunwoody M.B.E.  to wear their Southside shirts with pride  and secure an honourable 4-4 draw with the other members of Racing-Pulses  fabulous outing with Pro-Polo before meeting up with  Nigel Dean, Denise Lester & Raymond Thompson at Guards Club House,  Alex`s trusty steed BB , an Argentinian beauty with no ill-effects thankfully according to her groom after her Lewczuk encounter !
